Au Repos des Chasseurs has been welcoming people who stop along the way for more than three centuries. The hunters of the Sonian Forest then, the teams and executives of south-east Brussels now. The setting has changed; the intention has not. You sit down, you take the time you need, and you leave when you said you would.
Fifteen minutes from central Brussels, at the far end of Boulevard du Souverain, a house built in 1683 opens its doors at midday — and offers what business lunches most often lack: space, quiet, parking at the door and a genuine kitchen.
Three formules
Served every midday, indoors or on the terrace. All three draw on the bistronomic brasserie menu of chef Adrien Schurgers.

Quiet — the rarest luxury at lunchtime
A business lunch depends as much on acoustics as on the plate. Here the tables are well spaced, the ceilings high, and the background noise never forces anyone to repeat a sentence. You can negotiate, interview, present a budget or simply talk, without the next table joining in.

In winter, the brasserie room and the steak house take over. Either way, you leave Brussels without leaving Brussels — and a client who has flown in remembers it.

The kitchen is led by Adrien Schurgers, ranked fourth in the world at the best saucier-rôtisseur competition and trained under Jean-Pierre Bruneau and Alain Ducasse. His approach: a bistronomic brasserie — Belgian classics handled with fine-dining technique and no showmanship.
That means a vol-au-vent made with free-range chicken, carbonnades slow-cooked in gueuze beer, hand-rolled North Sea grey shrimp croquettes, premium cuts cooked precisely to order and the day's fish. The chips are fresh, the sauces house-made, and the desserts come from Jennifer, our pastry chef.

Easy to reach, easy to park, out on time
It is the first thing regulars mention: you park without circling the block. There is a free public car park directly in front of the house, which for a business lunch in Brussels changes everything — particularly when three cars arrive at once.
The restaurant stands on Avenue Charle-Albert in Watermael-Boitsfort, minutes from Boulevard du Souverain, the Ring exits and the E411. The offices of Auderghem, Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, the Léonard district and southern Ixelles are all close by, and public transport serves the neighbourhood.

Meetings, seminars and group lunches
Beyond the brasserie itself, the house has five modular function rooms seating up to 350 guests. They can be booked privately for a board lunch just as readily as for a company seminar, with or without projection equipment.

Yes — a free public car park sits directly in front of the restaurant on Avenue Charle-Albert, as well as all along Rue Tenreuken in Watermael-Boitsfort. It is one of the few restaurants in south-east Brussels where parking presents no difficulty, even for a group. From Monday to Saturday, between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, a parking disc is required.
Yes. Tables are spaced widely enough for a confidential conversation in the main room, and five private rooms are available for working meetings, from a small committee to a 350-guest seminar.
Allow around an hour for the Lunch menu and an hour and a half for the Business lunch. Tell us your departure time when booking and the service will pace itself to your diary.
Yes. The menu includes vegetarian dishes, and the kitchen adapts the set menus to vegan diets and allergies provided we are told at the time of booking.
Booking is strongly recommended for weekday lunches and essential from six covers upwards.
