The Zeeland mussels have arrived!
Few dishes tell the story of Belgium so well. North Sea mussels, served in the pot straight to the table, fries you dip in the broth, and that tradition that is ours through and through: an empty shell for tongs! Simple, generous, and done this way for generations.
Chef Adrien Schurgers and his brigade serve five preparations as Belgian as they come: marinière, garlic cream, tarragon cream, white wine or garlic cream with white wine.

Sundays, from forest walk to afternoon treats, on the edge of the Sonian Forest
Since 1683, Brussels families have stepped out of the Sonian Forest to gather around our tables. As its name suggests, the inn began as a resting place for those returning from the woods.
More than three centuries later, the tradition lives on: on Sundays our kitchen is open all day from noon. For lunch, settle in with family or friends at a true Belgian brasserie table and enjoy Chef Adrien Schurgers' classics, such as grey shrimp croquettes, vol-au-vent and Flemish beef stew with gueuze.
In the afternoon, it's time for something sweet, with desserts by our pastry chef Jennifer: café gourmand (coffee with a selection of mini desserts), waffles, crêpes and homemade pastries. Enjoy them on the terrace on sunny days, or indoors in the warmth when mist settles over the forest.
